Kobe V: Truth

Truth is a 30 second spot that celebrates Kobe Bryant and his 5th MVP title from the 2009 NBA season.

After the team was briefed for the Kobe V, we realized that the best way show to Kobe’s dedication and passion to the game was to show just that, His game.

We reached out to Spike Lee and Forty Acres and a Mule to help us with possible in-game footage to create a look into Kobe’s mind for the game. Spike had just completed, “Kobe Doin’ Work.”, an epic sports documentary, shot with 30 cameras, that brought the viewer to the court to watch the game through the point of view of Kobe Bryant. Spike was gracious enough to give us access to the footage that was not used, which was an incredible amount. Bruce Hornsby created the soundtrack which was the pinnacle way to finish this piece.

Truth is a look into what makes greatness great… Hard work.
